Clipboards Made

OK so here are the clipboards I made. I am trying to decide if I like the tape ones better or the scrapbook/mod podge ones better. If anyone has done either of these before, how well did they last? I got this really cute tape for $0.97 a roll at JoAnn's last week.

I finished doing most of my drawers today, but ran out of scrapbook paper. Off to JoAnn's in the morning for some more. I got a 20% off total purchase coupon through my app today so that will help. Trying to get everything done this week since teachers go back next Wed. Going to try to finish up the room tomorrow and Friday.

  1. Your clipboards turned out great! I think I may be the only teacher in the blogging world who hasn't made them yet!! I found you through the newbie blog hop and I'm glad I did! I nominated you for an award! Come and by and check it out!

    1. Thanks :) My clipboards were looking horrible (even my 5th graders were complaining this year). Decided I better get on it since I've had them for about 10 years. LOL

  4. They turned out cute! I like the bright colors of the tape one. Is it Duct tape or something else? I need to get myself to Joann's soon. I often find stuff for my room when they have their dorm-type stuff for back to school. :) Thanks for the award, and I'm your newest follower! I love your black and white star background. :)

    1. It was called decorative packing tape. I liked that it was smoother than the duct tape. JoAnn's had lots of different kinds that weren't on sale, but I liked this one anyway. Thanks for following :)

  5. I have been wanting to see how the back looks of clipboard ductape! Did you keep doing a continuous strip of tape or stop after one full wrap? Just curious how to do this easily?!

    1. I did one time around, then started another time around over lapping a little. I started at the back (about 1/8 of the board) then went around to the front and came back to cover up a little of where I started. I twas actually really easy. For the top I went over the top the opposite way then went back around sideways as close to it as I could get. If this doesn't make sense, I could take step by step photos to show you as I am getting ready to make some more. The tape is better than the scrapbook paper I have decided because the scrapbook mod podge ones are very sticky still and rip easily.
